Massage Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release

Similar to myofascial trigger point massage, (add link) myofascial release may be used when stressed or injured muscles form myofascial trigger points like knots that cause pain and tightness. The myofascial release approach is a form of soft tissue therapy used to treat somatic dysfunction, resulting pain and restriction of motion. The treatment uses continual palpatory feedback to achieve release of myofascial tissues.

This is accomplished by relaxing contracted muscles, increasing circulation and lymphatic drainage, and stimulating the stretch reflex of muscles and overlying fascia. The deep tissue work involved in myofascial release works by engaging the myofascial tissue restrictive barrier with constant force until tissue release occurs.

Our practitioners use knuckles, elbows, or other tools to slowly stretch the restricted fascia by

applying deep pressure. The approach slowly moves through layers of fascia until deeper tissues
are reached.

Chic Era’s trained therapists will skilfully massage deep throughout your muscles, generating
proper stimulation, which is necessary to release the tension of myofascial trigger points such as
knots.

The method is highly recommended for clients with agonizing pain that harasses them on a consistent basis.

Through the use of myofascial release we hope to bring the comfort back to you, which will help you embrace ultimate relaxation.
